David Geffen School of Medicine - Research

This was part of a multi-video series for the school of medicine, highlighting all their various pillars. This video in particular was filmed over the course of two days (one for interviews and one for broll) with a total production/post schedule of about six weeks. This schedule included everything from story outline and concept creation, to scheduling, to the shoot, and then bringing it all together in post by writing a script from the soundbites that were captured and then editing/graphics.

Total cost - $12,000

UCLA Health Cancer Specialties - Breast

This video was also part of a multi-video series covering all the cancer specialties that UCLA Health offers. It had a similar six-week production/post schedule, but the shoot for both interviews and broll was on the same day so we were able to reduce cost slightly.

Total cost - $9,000

UCLA Cancer Genetics

We went with a fully animated approach for this video because we thought it would be more visually engaging, and a lot of the subject matter is difficult to show with video footage. This style can also be mixed in with live action very effectively. We produced this entirely in-house over the course of about two months.

Total cost - $20,000 (animation is roughly $3,500 per finished minute)

UCLA Broad Stem Cell Research Center

This is a good example of a multi-day shoot with many different speakers and locations. It’s also, a great patient story that connects the research to the real world. This was shot over the course of three days with a production/post schedule of about two months.

Total cost - $16,000

UCLA Prostate Cancer Referral

This is a sample of a very simple video directed at referring physicians. It’s more technical than our patient-facing videos, but a good example of what we can do with a half day shoot and a production/post schedule of about two weeks from inception to final product.

Total cost - $7,000
