Stanford Health Care Overview Video
(C-I-CARE 3.0)

We are proposing the following concepts for a cinematic, inspirational overview video that will convey the value, pride and ethos of C-I-CARE 3.0 to all employees and patients within the Stanford Health Care system. The timeline/milestones for each concept are similar. If we need to deliver a final product by the end of fiscal year (Aug 31), we would need to begin pre-production/planning by mid-July and film by late-July/early-August. Since the budget has been pre-paid, if we don't need to deliver a final by end of August, we can relax the current timeline a bit. The current budget would cover each of the concepts below, so there will be no additional need for funding.

Concept 1: Anthem

We would film in a similar, cinematic style that includes a sense of 'place'/community and film various scenes within the medical center that would best highlight C-I-CARE in action — an outpatient about to get an MRI, another holding a newborn, nurses chatting amiably with one another, another person with an elderly parent/outpatient having a helpful interaction with a cafe staffer, to a hospitalized patient with an occupational therapist at their bedside, helping them get up to walk, etc. The video would include text on-screen, and some 'natural pops' of sound, but text would not be literal (i.e. C is for Communicate). Rather, we can use some of the terminology currently on the Stanford Health Care website (e.g. 'Compassionate, patient, kind, willing to lend a hand and go the extra mile' or use the tagline on another site, ''Every Kind of Care, for Every Kind of Patient' (we can add final line using 'Kind' as adjective for Stanford Health Care).' This video is more about feeling, less words.

Another style would include a voiceover, text and natural sound, as well as historical shots of the hospital and snippets of the area's 'vibe', similar to this video (which I actually produced at UC).

Estimated Filming Days: 2

Concept 2: Day in the Life

We propose adding a bit more humanity by depicting the patient as a three-dimensional person, showing moments in their life, prior to coming in/their interests in the community, etc. The action would be focused on the patient's positive experience in a variety of scenarios.

Estimated Filming Days: 2

Concept 3: Personal Experiences

This concept is a bit of a hybrid of 1 and 2. We would partner with you to source people who can share exceptional stories that depict C-I-CARE (with the 3.0 values). This is similar to the 'Day in the Life' above in that we'd include some moments of the person in their community, to better visualize their story.
